If you’re not from the South, then Bojangles probably won’t make sense to you.

Or, I should say, our reliance upon it would not make sense to you.

It lacks the cleanliness and class of a Chik-Fil-A. Nor does it have the national reputation of a KFC. There is no ambiance, or intense marketing campaigns.

But here’s the thing. The biscuits are amazing. Just right. There when you need them.

And they not only will sell you sweet tea in a cup (how could they not?), but you can by a gallon jug of the stuff. Freshly made. As dark as Coca-Cola.

If you find yourself on a road trip through North Carolina, let me recommend that you make it your drive-through lunch stop and see what I’m talking about.
